Pastor's Corner

As our big day draws nigh, it’s good to reflect and give thanks for all those who have brought us to this point: the founding members who first gathered 25 years ago this November to envision a new church; the many persons who have been a part of our journey as a congregation, sharing their gifts and helping “push the envelope:” Bertha Hamann and her generous bequest that jump-started this phase of our life together; the Faithful Building Team led by Betty McMillan and Cindy Wetz that has guided us through this “wilderness;” all those members and friends who have offered financial gifts to make this dream come true; our Faithful Planning Partner Ryan Hazen, a former vice president of Church Extension, without whose encouragement and enthusiasm we wouldn’t have been able to take the “leap of faith” we took; our architects and contractors. A Dedication Day allows us to remember and to renew our commitment to following God’s particular call for this congregation in THIS place at THIS time. Glory be to God!

Maureen Dickmann, M. Div

Pastor of Rockbrige Christian Church since 1987

Maureen has served on boards of directors and as president for local Habitat for Humanity, Food Bank, and Missouri School of Religion.

She has also served on the board of Comprehensive Human Services (Women's Shelter and Youth Homes) and the Anti-Racism Pro-Reconciliation Team of Mid-America.

Maureen won the Norenberg Prize for excellence in Preaching and Worship Leadership. She has also been published in "Preaching: Word and Witness."
