OUR DREAM TAKES SHAPE As our new sanctuary continues to progress, we see how its shape expresses who we are as a congregation: reaching out to serve in the community and rising up to draw attention to the warm welcome that awaits everyone here. Our last capital campaign (March 2002) was extremely successful, providing a solid foundation on which to build this time. Our board voted in March that the new campaign be for a period of two years. Church Extension, the general ministry unit loaning us funds and advising us throughout the project, is helping resource Our Dream Takes Shape. Moderator Steve Friesen announced the appointment of the campaign council: Cindy Wetz, chair; Kathy Brown, secretary; Larry Brown, faith foundations chair; Lou Dale and Janice Friesen, publicity; Diane Suhler, advance pledge chair; Diane Haas, meals; Roger Carter, team leader. Serving as ex-officio will be Ryan Hazen, our Faithful Planning partner and Church Extension vice president, Steve Friesen as moderator, and myself as pastor. You will be hearing much more in the days and weeks to come as we build toward our Commitment Sunday, May 1st.
