ASSEMBLY EXPLORES WHO WE ARE AS DISCIPLES

RBCC was well represented at the Northeast Area Assembly (that drew over 200 people) at First CC in Jeff City Nov. 4-5. Tabitha DenHartog and Jordan Carter (accompanied by Ann Robinson, Letitia DenHartog, and Alisa Troetschel) participated in the youth overnight event. They were joined by Larry and Linda Reed Brown, Kathy Brown, Maureen Dickmann and, of course, Barbara Allen on Saturday for a day of worship, fellowship and workshops centered around the above them.

NOAH’S ARK OFFERS LESSONS FOR CHRISTIANS TODAY

  1. Don’t miss the boat.
  2. Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.
  3. Stay fit. When you are 600 years old, someone might ask you to do something really big.
  4. Do not listen to critics – just got on with what has to be done.
  5. Build your future on high ground.
  6. Don’t forget everyone is in the same boat.
  7. When you are stressed, float awhile.
  8. Remember that the ark was built by amateurs while the Titanic was built by professionals.
  9. Remember that woodpeckers inside are a larger threat than the storms outside.
  10. No matter the fierceness of the storm, when you are with God, there is always a rainbow in the sky.

OUR PASTOR WILL BE AWAY FROM NOV. 6 TO NOV. 16

Pastor Maureen Dickmann will be in Indiana participating in the Women Touched by Grace Program. If you have a pastoral emergency, contact Kathy Brown.

The Annual Congregational Meeting will be Sunday, Dec. 18th after worship.
