Wednesdays, 7 pm
An opportunity to spiritually “get in shape.”
Take a half-hour out of your busy life to consciously journey with Jesus to Jerusalem. These informal services will include praying, singing, silence and guided meditations – an opportunity to walk with other pilgrims seeking a deeper relationship with God. Thanks to Virginia Bzdek and Cindy Heinz for planning and leading these mid-week worship services.

Sunday, March 5, Bring your Favorite Songs about Faith to Listen to While Turning Plans for Website into Action

12:30 to 3:00 at Church. Youth should bring favorite song(s) on CD that reflect a religious or faith theme to listen to while group works on RBCC website youth section planning and development.

ROCK BRIDGERS AT LARGE

It was great to have Rita Nakashima Brock with us on Feb. 12th. She was in St. Louis for a meeting and joined us for worship and fellowship with Fifth St. Check out her website at www.faithvoices.org. She hopes to return for the dedication . . . Word has been received from the Robinsons that they are managing to survive just fine, even with three kids in college! Sam is loving Earlham in Indiana, Tim’s in design at Philadelphia University and Phoebe is completing her freshman year at York College majoring in nursing and socializing (per her mother). They send their love. Please keep Erin Brightwell in your prayers as she and Dan Noose have separated. She’s in graduate school in Seattle . . . Amy Jones sends word from Tennessee that she misses RBCC . . . We’re looking forward to Steve and Janice Friesen coming back for the sanctuary dedication April 9th. Any of you others “at large” planning to come? Let us know. We’d love to see you!

LENTEN VIDEO SERIES

The Friday night Lenten video series kicked off March 3rd and will continue each Friday through Lent. Our format is to gather for a meal each Friday at 6:30, watch a movie together, and have a brief discussion following. The discussion will then continue on Sunday morning, including a viewing of a short clip of the Friday night movie. This year’s theme is on people who are differently abled. The series kicked off with “Charly.” Possible upcoming selections include “My Left Foot” (scheduled for March 10th), “Rainman,” “The Station Agent,” “The Other Side of the Mountain,” “Bill,” “On His Own,” and an episode of “Life Goes On.” All are welcome!

Note: Waste Watchers will reconvene following Lent.

Big brother wanted for Alex Glay:

Alex could use a little extra help on his reading as well as his baseball skills. If you could spend an hour or two with him on a weekly basis, a good time would be had by all. If you are interested in helping Alex out, please contact Moses or Annie to make arrangements.

IT'S HAPPENING THIS MONTH

The RBCC Board will meet at 7 pm Wed., March 8th. All are welcome.

DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME BEGINS

Remember to turn your clocks AHEAD one hour before you go to bed on Saturday, April 1st.
